  • The Market Place Conference Center

Program Overview:  We'll review significant differences between an umbrella policy and an excess. In our review there will also be two (2) case law decisions reviewed that will illustrate two significant teaching points. Hercules Bumpers v. First Interstate Insurance Company & Aetna - a study on concurrency of coverage and its importance. Secondly, we'll talk about no coverage in the primary but when there is coverage by the umbrella as shown in Grange Mutual Casualty Co. v. Milano Enterprises.

Program Overview:  HR professionals have to master the complexities of a number of overlapping leave laws, and they frequently turn to the benefit broker for guidance.  This program focuses on how to administer health benefits during leaves, including leaves under FMLA and USERRA, and provides an overview of the key issues that arise.  The program will address which benefits employers must offer, for how long, and who has to pay for them (along with a discussion of cafeteria plan elections).  Designed to answer common questions, this program will include examples, best practices, and action items.

*This course provides credit for life only and accident and health licensed agents. It does not qualify for property & casualty licensed agents.
